Joe Lectrick drops another techno jam with Neon Electrick Nights 02 available on YouTube, SoundCloud, and MixCloud. For this jam, Joe goes for a bit of a Wild West feel to this beat. It kind of ends up feeling like music for a spaceship chase scene from “Firefly”.
Plus this jam is notable for Joe sporting his cyberpunk goggles hat.
So get your dancing shoes, your cowboy hand, and your laser beams and shuffle to this jam.
I just dropped the first of hopefully many jam sessions to liven up your nights and give you a reason to slap on your dancing shoes, even if in the comfort of your own personal rave cave. I call it “Neon Electrick Nights” and I’ll be dropping a new edition each Thursday.
This first edition is a quirky techno jam that I originally streamed for Instagram Live, not realizing that it would not save the video for me to keep for later, so that’s why I only have audio and graphics to show on this one. Will have me on camera during future jams, I can assure you. 😉

Tekken Too Far… This was the first electronic music track I ever produced long ago. I originally composed it as background soundtrack for a short film I worked on back in the day. Finally, after years in the background and on my hard drive, it’s getting a proper streaming music release on all platforms.
On top of releasing the track on all platforms, I’ve also used my rudimentary pixel art skills to give Tekken Too Far a little animated video of the cover art for the release.
I have to admit that I originally had a much more complex and epic concept for an animated music video planned, but unfortunately, the original concept revealed itself far beyond my current pixel art proficiency. So, I settled for the guy winking and yelling as lighting bolts light up his face. For those interesting in knowing what concept I had in mind, here it is below. So feel free to use your imagination to enjoy what it could have been.
Original Video Concept: This purple hair fighter was supposed to be fighting like an alien Overlord looking guy. He would punch the overlord, sending him flying. Then he would be dancing for a bit while the flames burn behind him. Then the Overlord punches Purple Haired Hero and sends him flying into the abyss. Overlord starts dancing while the fire burns behind him. Another volley back and forth leaves our hero broken and bruises. He looks up to see the Overlord laughing menacingly. The Purple Haired Hero Grits his teeth, spits out blood, slips on the TECHNO POWER rings, flies into a rage and like HADOUKEN’s the Overlord. The Overlord lands far away. The Hero dances the rest of the song.
So what’s your favorite video game inspired track? Let me know in the comments!
